If you think Samsung gave you all the highs in 2013 itself, hold on that decision. Do not go about declaring it because, Samsung is definitely not done yet.
If you look back to its 2013 road map you can easily spot that the year has been phenomenally eventful for the South Korean company. From Galaxy S4, Note 3, and the Galaxy Gear, Samsung has steadily climbed to the 8th rank in Best Global Brands. By the January of 2013, Samsung was reportedly selling 100 million+ units of Galaxy S series and by March 2013, it was lifting the Device Manufacturer of the year award for its Galaxy S3 at the GSMA Awards. By September 2013, it was unveiling Galaxy Note 3, Gear, Note 10.1 (2014 edition) and by the end of the year, Samsung stood tall and proved itself to be a class apart in the world of technology. On entering the first month of 2014, the question remains, just how far would this gigantic brand go with its 2014 innovation?
Taking the TV movement steps ahead
Samsung had its moments last year with the launch of its Ultra HD 4K TVs. Years ahead of its time, the TV’s clarity goes far beyond words. Quoted at hefty tens of thousands of dollars, 4K screens have about 4,000 pixels playing on its screen, making the world effortlessly clear and beautiful. When even the high-end TVs today operate with 1080 pixels, 4K Ultra HDs introduction is the market is like a dream come true. But the problem with the product is, there isn’t a lot of content that can be shot at such a high resolution at this point of time. But the web-connected smart TVs will go some stunning revamping this year. They already have some cool features and control in them, like- voice and motion control, streaming services like Netflix and Hulu, and intelligent recommendation system that can guess what shows you want to watch but 2014 will have more innovations in that front. Rumor has it that the TVs will be upgraded with a little box called the Evolution kit, enabling you to have whatever new features Samsung announces for its TVs.
A promising year for tablets
2013 was a lot about tablets, ranging from various sizes and prices. Samsung gave some really smart tabs, posing challenge to various other tablet companies. In fact it hit of so well for this South Korean manufacturer that other tab companies were struggling it quite some bit to survive in the market. 2014 seems to be equally showy for Samsung. There is soon a 10.5 inch tablet that is peeping to be hitting the market. It would not be wrong to expect more variations of its flagship Galaxy Tab series a well this year.
Crazy smart-fast phones coming out of the Samsung mill
Yes, you got it right. Galaxy S5 is almost about to enter the market. A matter of few more days or weeks and you will be holding a brand new phone with kick-ass features and factors in it. Various reviews state that the phone will be having a 64- bit processor, faster than even hat Apple is using in its iPhone 5S. Also, there are possibilities of an iris scanner in it which has to do with unlocking your phone just by a glance. How so much difficult or cumbersome the idea might seem, am sure it would be super cool to have something as tech-upgraded as that.
Meanwhile, there would be no dearth of all the mid-range and low end smart phones taking over the market. Basically, no one goes disappointed from the Samsung world in 2014.
Curved phones will be getting curvier and wiser
There’s nothing new with bendable phones but Samsung will be working on its past flaws in this category this year. It is not just about how much the curved phones can curve or not but is also about how resistant are they to scratches and cracks. Samsung will continue to experiment with its curved phones throughout this year and by the end of few months we might just start having excellent handhelds in this category as well.
Software will be an area of primary focus
One major turn off about using Samsung devices is its painful introduction of unnecessary software features in it. But by the rumors pertaining to Samsung this year, the company seems to be all set to take a step towards it and act wisely. It wants to make useful modifications to Google’s Android operating system for smartphones and tablets, making all of it more compatible and user friendly.
Let’s hope or the best and wait to see Samsung bringing cutting-edge innovations and keeping us jaw dropped as it did last year.
